Basic direction of the website:

Save the Blue Heart of Europe is a campaign for the protection of Europe's last river jewels - the rivers in the Balkans. The aim of this website is to publicize information about the beauty and value of these rivers, as well as their threats due to hydropower development.

The website provides detailed information on planned and existing power plants as well as those under construction, our key areas and up-to-date information on campaign activities. We also try to promote local river initiatives on our website to expose them to a larger audience. The site also contains fundraising tools for further campaign activities to protect the rivers in the Balkans. The website is also used to fundraise for further campaign activities for the protection of Balkan rivers.
