Haris Jusović for Balkan Rivers

Bosnian graphic designer and visual artist Haris Jusović raises socio-critical issues through his art. His posters make you laugh, while at the same time make you reflect on the grievances raised, particularly in regards to our shared responsibility.

With this piece of art, he offers the following statement: "The truth about the threat of our waters is very explicit, but not transparent enough. Because we are preoccupied with the consequences and so we tend to forget what their beginning, cause, core is. Water is the environment. Life is under water and above it. With this poster, I point to the nature of water exploitation and a very primitive result of taming their natural flow. Bridges are being built to connect shores and people. Mini-hydropower plants are examples of bridges that connect malicious interests with long-lasting negative consequences."
